Production and Characterization of Palm Oil Based Epoxy Biocomposite by RSM Design

In this research, some physical and chemical properties of the biocomposite obtained from synthesized epoxy modified palm oil (MPO) resin have been characterized. The experimental study plan is made according to Response Surface Methodology (RSM) biocomposites with different MPO rates are obtained. bond structure has evaluated Fourier Transform Infrared Spektrofotometre (FTIR). experimental, RSM model results obtained, density rise as rate increases. It determined that Shore D hardness inversely proportional by mass. thermal conductivity coefficient stability also (wt.%) in biocomposite. degradation experiments biocomposite, it observed composite goes up rises. Activation energies calculated using Flynn Wall Ozawa, Kissinger, Coats Redfern models. activation for 9th, 2nd, 13th Ozawa method approximately 139.65, 143.56, 145.28 kJ/mol, respectively. function highest R2 value method, deviation Kissinger was below 7%.
